Accompanied

On November 11, 2015, Accompanied is founded on the tranquil Dutch island of Goeree-Overflakkee. What begins as a modest consultancy for process improvement within governments grows in less than a decade into an international player in sustainable economic development and networking. The ambition to create a better world has since guided Accompanied in various directions, always with a keen eye for opportunities and collaboration.

In the early years, the focus lies on governmental processes. One of the first major projects is for the City of Amsterdam, where Accompanied established and staffed the Aliens Desk in June 2016. This project is not only an important step for the city but also a turning point for Accompanied. The work leads to a specialization in migration issues, a theme that is transferred to the Company of Friends Foundation in 2020. Accompanied can focus on a broader mission: connecting businesses, governments, and organizations to promote sustainable economic development.

The company’s geographical journey reflects this growth. After five years in Diemen (near Amsterdam), Accompanied found a new home in Amstelveen in 2024. Since 2021, there has also been a sister company in Brazil: Accompanied Brasil Ltda. This branch focuses on real estate and the export of sustainable products. These expansions signify not just physical changes but also the broadening of its scope. The small consultancy of 2015 has evolved into an international connector, active in the Netherlands, Brazil, and Portugal.

Accompanied’s activities are diverse yet united by a shared mission: sustainable progress. The company represents Dutch solar panel manufacturers in Brazil, Portugal, and Spain. At the same time, it is building a network of water management specialists in the Brazilian state of Ceará. In Portugal, Accompanied works on business development for prefab construction, an innovative solution to housing shortages and sustainability challenges.

The strength of Accompanied lies in its ability to connect: between countries, sectors, and people. Whether it involves water management in Brazil, real estate in Portugal, or green energy solutions in Europe, the goal remains the same: facilitating collaboration for a better future.
